Back in 2011, with 15 years of experience in the sewer/drain cleaning industry under his belt, Chris took this advice. He “stepped up” and opened CN Sewer & Drain in Hays, Kansas. Covering an approximately 60-mile radius, Chris not only found a niche in servicing farms, he also provides full service to kitchen sinks, bathrooms, washing machines, floor drains, main sewers, or any other pipe you may find to be clogged!

Back in 2011, with 15 years of experience in the sewer/drain cleaning industry under his belt, Chris took this advice. He “stepped up” and opened CN Sewer & Drain in Hays, Kansas. Covering an approximately 60-mile radius, Chris not only found a niche in servicing farms, he also provides full service to kitchen sinks, bathrooms, washing machines, floor drains, main sewers, or any other pipe you may find to be clogged!
While dealing with rock infested out drains would seem like a near impossible task, according to Chris, “Spartan machines make clearing rocks quick and easy.” With his extensive line of Spartan products – (3) Model 2001 machines, (1) Model 100, and (1) Sparvision 200 sewer inspection camera – Chris can efficiently and effectively locate and clear those nasty dairy farm drains that would send most drain cleaners headed for the hills.

“The versatility allows you to get multiple drains done in a day, when most machines don’t allow that and require two people just to maneuver the machine.”
More than once Chris has used his Model 2001 on oilfield lead lines in Kansas. He has cleaned 500’ and 1500’ of 2” PVC line with a 3/4” cable!
Chris credits much of his success to his cleanliness. He says that in many of the small, surrounding towns he services, people don’t use the higher-quality equipment. Where most people would come in and splatter the basement with “sewer juice,” CN Sewer & Drain can get in and out with hardly anyone knowing they were even there.
Business is definitely booming for CN Sewer & Drain. Chris mentioned that the week before Christmas was his busiest week in all his years cleaning drains! 6 years ago, Chris Nicholas was on his own with a single van and a few drain cleaning machines. Due to his 19 years of experience and trust, Chris was quickly able to build a clientele and has now added a second van to the CN sewer & drain fleet as well as another full-time and a part-time employee. Chris’ goal for 2018 is to get his second van running full-time, continue to build his clientele, and expand his jetting service. There may be an Ultimate Warrior in his future!
